    Raisins and Grapes Warning!!

It has been recently pointed out to us that pointed out to us that dogs should not eat grapes or raisins. Even as few as 7 could be fatal to them

    Medicine Warning!!!
In honor of Starla/Becky born to Windy Acres Farm February, 2005 who died Christmas Eve 2006
We send our condolences to Diane at the loss of her precious companion.

We give this warning to collie owners:
Do not give the heart worm medicine Revolution to any collie or sheltie because the main ingredient, selamectin can be fatal!
Also be aware that the wormer Ivomectin or any medicine that says vermectin can be fatal to collies and Shelties!
You can find out more information by going to the Washington State website for MDR-1 gene to become informed about many of the drugs to which collies are sensitive.
